Week 2 Summaries

Jets defeat Bruins 8-4

The Jets took on the Bruins that spoke volumes to the necessity of key players. The Bruins were without Sufyan Kazi and Farhan Saleh, and it showed. The Jets took control in the first with a 3-0 half, thanks to a pair from Arif Hanslod. The Jets may have been without their GM Razi, but that was no issue as netminder Mohammed AK took full control. The second half did see a more alert Bruins team with a pair from Syed Ahmed, but the Jets kept on pushing. A pair from Yusuf Ingar would be more than enough to seal the deal as the Jets walked away with a convincing 8-4 win. This levels out both teams, leaving them 1-1 on the season.

Zaheer Kazi finished with a hat trick on the night while Prateek Johal racked up three assists. With the Nords leading 7-2 going into the second, they played as if on cruise control. The second was a completely different game as the Bruins fired on all pistons. Sufyan Kazi had a second period hat trick, along with back-to-back goals from Sandeep Dhaliwal. Late game heroics by Faizan Kazi (2) were too little too late as Bruins won 13-6.
