Week 4 Previews

Bruins vs Jets @ 8:45 pm

The undefeated Bruins will take on the Jets who have a doubleheader this week. The Jets will be facing an uphill battle as the Bruins have been outright dominating this season. Netminder Mohammed AK Patel has been a solid pickup, along with a squad ready to fire under the helm of Suhaib Shaikh. The Jets will need to pace themselves if they hope to secure at least one of two wins.

Sharks vs Nordiques @ 9:45 pm

The Sharks and Nords will face off next with analysts giving preference to the Nords given their recent gelling as a team. Goalie attendance has recently become of concern for the Sharks, and it will be a big factor in determining who gets the win this week.

Jets vs Kings @ 10:45 pm

The Jets face off in their second game of the night against the winless Kings. The Kings will need to take advantage of tired legs to grab their first win of the season. One assumes having a full bench is going to help with that. As for the Jets, the game isn’t over until the clock hits 0.

Week 3 Summaries

Bruins defeat Sharks 7-6

The Bruins took advantage and dominated with a 3-1 first half, and doubled that effort to lead 6-2 well into the second. The Sharks pushed back with goals from Syed Ahmed and Belal Hafeez in an attempt to grab the come from behind win. The Bruins scored thanks to Shoaib Khan to add some insurance, while the Sharks got it back within one by pulling the netminder on a powerplay. Despite the heroics from Baba Khan, the effort fell short as netminder AK stood tall to ensure the 7-6 Bruins win.

Jets defeat Kings 9-7

The Kings had a poor showing with just 5 and a goalie suited for play. The Jets graciously allowed one replacement player, while they themselves were without GM Razi Ahmed. The Kings surprisingly put up a hell of a fight in the second, matching every Jets goal with one of their own. Playing a zero sum game in the second half gave the Jets the easy 9-7 win.

Nordiques defeat Sharks 9-7

The Nords were keen to take advantage of the Sharks playing their second of the doubleheader, but were not expecting this much resistance. Yasir Husain would suit up for the Sharks, with each team tied at 4 a piece at the half. Divesh Sharma would lead scoring with a pair. The second half saw netminder Ridwaan Khanji tighten up the crease and the Nords dominated towards the end of the game, proving too much for a gassed out Sharks squad. Nords win this one 10-7.
