Nordiques Vs Falcons @ 9:15 pm
The Nords and Falcons will face off in a game that has a lot on the line. The Falcons currently sit atop the league but know that just one tie or loss is enough to lose it all. The Nords are coming off of a huge win and will be looking to continue their dominance heading into playoff season.
Bruins Vs Sharks @ 10:15
The Bruins and Sharks are both coming off of tough losses and will be looking to regroup. The Sharks currently sit at the bottom with just two points on the season. Will they be able to snatch two from the Bruins who are hungry for first place?
Week 7 Summaries
Falcons defeat Bruins 6-5
The Falcons took on the Bruins in a close but exciting game. The Falcons struck first with a goal from Yusuf Ingar, before the Bruins equalized with a goal from Adil Patel. Both teams traded goals back and for and were tied at three a piece at the half. The second half saw the Falcons push ahead with a pair from Anant Kaushal and Abdullah Khalil, but the Bruins were hot on their tail and saw them equalize thanks to Muhammed Dippy and Mohammed Kazi. With time winding down, Abdullah Khalil would be the hero and net the game winner. Falcons win this one 6-5.
Nordiques defeat Sharks 13-6
The Nords took on the Sharks in what was a stellar game for the Nordiques. With all pistons firing, they took a quick 3-0 lead thanks to Anish Kara (2) and Indy Pabla. The Sharks aimed to cut down the lead with goals from Zahid Panchbhaya and Syed Ahmed. Nords led 6-5 at the half. The second half saw Zahid Panchbhaya complete his hat trick, but the Nords were insistent on walking away with the win as Prateek Johal went off for his own second period hat trick. When all said and done, the Nords walked away with a comfortable 13-6 victory.
Week 7 Previews
Bruins Vs Falcons @ 9:15 pm
The top seeded Bruins will take on the second spot Falcons in what is dubbed our game of the night. The Bruins were in absolute control last week and will be looking to keep that momentum going. The Falcons, however, are no weak foe as they have shown consistency in their winning ways. It's going to come down to the netminders to determine the winner of this one.
Sharks vs Nordiques @ 10:15pm
The Nords and Sharks face off next with a lot on the line for these two teams. With season end fast approaching, they will need to grab every win they can to stay competitive and make a strong impact during the playoffs. Attendance of all players, including goalies, will be the key to their success.
Week 6 Summaries
Falcons defeat Sharks 7-4
The Sharks took on the Falcons in our first game of the night with the Falcons itching for a win. They were dominant in the first, scoring four unanswered goals, featuring a pair from Anant Kaushal. The Sharks had no answer and seemed dazed defensively. The second period was more of the same, with Yahya Ingar and Arif Billa adding two more to the Falcons' tally. The Sharks were finally able to get on the scoreboard thanks to a late hat trick from Syed Ahmed, but it was all for nothing as the Falcons took this one 7-4.
Bruins defeat Nordiques 11-4
The Bruin gang took on the Nords and you must be kicking yourself if you missed this one. The Bruins were strong to start with two goals from Muhammed Patel, before Divesh Sharma would cut the lead in half. The Bruins were adamant to keep scoring, and saw a pair from Abraar Gangat. Bruins led 5-1 at the half, with all the more firepower reserved for the second. The Bruins saw points coming in from all angles, with Adil Patel, Suhaib Shaikh, and Zaheer Kazi all contributing in the second. the Nords had their sparse goals here and there, but could not do much. Bruins win this 11-4.
Week 6 Previews
Falcons Vs Sharks @ 9:15 pm
Both teams are coming off of tough losses and will be looking to regain some very valuable points this week. The Falcons will need consistency on their bench, while the Sharks will be looking to netminder Khanji for answers. With just 4 teams in play this season, every game counts.
Nordiques Vs Bruins @ 10:15 pm
The Nords have proven that they can be a powerhouse even with missing players, and will be putting up a challenge against the Bruins. If the Bruins are down a couple men, they will be facing yet another uphill battle to maintain a stronghold at the top.
Week 5 Summaries
Bruins defeat Sharks 9-8
What a game this was! The Bruins were without both Patel brothers and the Sharks had to throw in Zak Manjra between the pipes. You'd think this was a playoff game with the level of intensity both teams displayed. The Sharks struck first with a double thanks to Shoaib Khan and Sufyaan Shaikh. The Bruins pushed back hard with goals from Sadik Patel, Suhaib Shaikh, and Mohammed Kazi. The Bruins led 4-3 narrowly at the end of the first. The second period was more of the same, with goals flying back and forth. Manjra did his best to keep things intact for the Sharks, while the Bruins lapsed in and out defensively, allowing Syed Ahmed to net a second period hat trick. Veteran Sadik Patel would be the hero scoring the game winner despite a last minute effort from Abdullah Patel. Bruins win this one 9-8.
Nordiques defeat 10-5
The Nords were without Tanvir Dulai and the Falcons were missing main man Anant Kaushal. This didn't slow down either team in the first, as they traded goals back and forth with Yusuf Ingar leading for the Falcons. The Nords on the other hand scored four straight during an offensive run to take the 5-3 first period lead. The second period was all Nords as Prateek Johal went off, scoring 4 of 6 Nord goals. Despite the Falcons best efforts and a pair from Abdullah Khalil Patel, they fell short. Nords win this one 10-6.
