Week 5 Previews

Bruins Vs Sharks @ 9:15 pm

Both teams are coming off of tough losses for very different reasons but will be pushing back with a vengeance. Should the Bruins have a full bench, expect them to push hard for a definitive win. As for the Sharks, the late game collapses have got to come to an end.

Falcons vs Nordiques @ 10:15pm

The Nords and Falcons are coming off of very strong wins, but there can only be one this week. This game is in favor of the Falcons who have shown consistent dominance, but anything can happen in this league. Expect the Nords to be a competitive force with a full bench.

Week 4 Summaries

Falcons defeat Bruins 6-4

The Falcons took on the Bruins, who were without GM Mohammed Kazi and star Adil Patel. The Bruins pushed hard to start and took the 1-0 lead thanks to Muhammad Patel. The Falcons equalized minutes later with a goal from Yahya Ingar. Both teams traded goals back and forth in the first, not letting either gain the advantage. By the end of the first, both teams are tied at 4 apiece. The second period is where it all changed. The Falcons took advantage of the Bruins’ undermanned bench and kept them at bay while peppering netminder Abbas Shaikh with shots. The eventual game winner was scored by Yahya Ingar, followed shortly by an insurance goal from Yusuf Ingar for the 6-4 win.

Nordiques defeat Sharks 11-7

The Nords took on the Sharks in what could no less be described as a roller coaster. The Sharks struck first with a goal from Abdullah Patel, before Prateek Johal tied things up. The Sharks took control of the game in the first, leaving the Nords bumbling to find a way to stop the persistent attacks on netminder Kaleem Mirza. The Sharks took a commanding 5-2 lead at the end of the first, with goals from five different players. As soon as the ball dropped in the second, the Nords became a different team and utilized the efforts of Tanvir Dulai and Prateek Johal. The Nords D held the Sharks to only two goals in the second, while Maaz Panchbhaya netted his first hattrick. Nords win this one 11-7 with an amazing come from behind win.

Week 4 Previews

Bruins Vs Falcons @ 9:15 pm

Ladies and gentlemen, I am calling it now. Do not miss the Falcons and Bruins showdown as this will be one for the ages. The Bruins are a perfect 3-0 to start the season, while the Falcons trail closely 2-1. Both teams have made a formative name for themselves, and have the gun power to back it up. Both teams are coming off of confident wins, but only one will be left standing this week.

Sharks Vs Nordiques @ 10:15 pm

The 1-2 Sharks will be taking on the 0-3 Nords who will need to muster up all they can to pull off a win. It is too deep into the season now to have a setting impression of what this team is, and will be. Perhaps there may need to be some shuffling in terms of rosters. That being said, expect both teams to push hard for the win, as one win is all it takes to shift gears in this league.

Week 3 Summaries

Bruins defeat Nordiques 6-5

The Bruins took on the Nords, with both teams missing some key players on the night. No complaints here, as this made for some very good hockey. The Bruins dominated the first with a four-goal assault to start, thanks to a pair from Adil Patel. The lone Nords goal came from Divesh Sharma, as his team was struggling to connect. The second period saw a more balanced approach to the game, giving the Nords a chance to gain ground with goals from Prateek Johal and Sharma late in the game. They rallied hard to get within one, but could not muster enough to get the tie. Zaheer Kazi would score the game winner for the Bruins, giving them the 6-5 victory.

Falcons defeat Sharks 10-5

The Sharks took on the Falcons in a game that had some strong statements to be made. The Falcons struck first with a goal from Yusuf Ingar, with Abdullah Patel equalizing for the Sharks minutes later. The Falcons would gain the upper hand in the first, with a pair of goals from Arif Billa to lead 5-3 at the half. The second period was all Falcons as netminder Mohammed AK stool tall against every Shark offensive maneuver. Abdullah Khalil would net a pair late in the game to seal the deal as the Falcons walked away with a confident 10-5 win. The Sharks will need to shake things up and get a pulse check on attendance if they wish to recoup lost ground.

Week 3 Previews

Bruins Vs Nordiques @ 9:15 pm

Sharks Vs Falcons @ 10:15 pm

The Falcons will be looking to build upon last week’s success with a win against the Sharks. Don’t count the Sharks out just yet as they are expected to push back much harder this week with a shuffle up in gameplay.
