Winter 2019 Season
Team Previews
The Nords being led by Divesh Sharma will be looking to repeat MMGL glory with Tanvir Dulai drafted first overall. Dulai is noted as one of the best shutdown defensive players, and will be making his MMGL debut this season. In between the pipes will be none other than Kaleem Mirza, who will be supported by a squad stacked heavy on offense.
The Sharks will be led by netminder Ridwaan Khanji, who put his faith in Shoaib Khan as the first overall pick. Teaming up with Syed Ahmed, there is nothing this dynamic duo can't do. Will the supporting squad take on a more defensive role this season? Fans will be keeping a close eye on how Khanji looks to manage his team in his first ever lead role.
The Bruin Gang has an all too familiar look to it this season with GM Suhaib Shaikh drafting who he trusts the most. The exception to this rule is the first overall pick, with Adil Patel joining the squad this season. Hopes are high for this team who have in the past shown heart, but not formidable playoff success. Can this season be the one to change it all with a young squad and experienced netminder in Abbas Shaikh?
The Falcons are being managed by netminder Mohammed AK Patel this season, who wasted no time in taking Yusuf Ingar in the first round. This combined with a mix of friends will be sure to make things interesting this season. Mystery man Anant Kaushal is rumoured to be a sharpshooter, but only time will tell. There are high hopes for this team to perform as well as they look on paper.
