Syed Ahmed has been on an absolute offensive rampage this season, while the Hawks are still struggling to find their identity. Week 4 Summaries
Nordiques defeat Bruins 7-3
The Bruins were without Zaheer Kazi and newly acquired Abdullah Patel this week against the Nords. That being said, it was a strong show in the first with goals from Arif Hanslod and Indy Pabla. Syed Ahmed of the Nords would retaliate with a first period hat trick, for the 3-2 lead. The second period saw another goal from Pabla, but that was the last of any Bruin offensive action for the night. Ahmed would go on to be a one man show, scoring another four goals for the single-handed 7-3 win. Something’s gotta give soon for the Bruins, who are not what they seem to be on paper.
Jets defeat Hawks 9-3
The Jets and Hawks faced off in a game that looked very different from the week prior. The Jets started strong with four straight goals, including a pair from Ricky Saili. The lone goal for the Hawks came from Sufyan Kazi, as the Jets led comfortable 5-1 into the second. The second period saw the Jets switch to a defensive mindset after Kazi scored his second of the night. The Hawks were shutdown with blocked shots and screened snipers, giving Ridwaan Khanji a fairly slow second half to work with. The Jets won this one easy 9-3 with the last two goals coming from Sufyan Shaikh and leaves the Hawks wondering what changes will need to be made.
