Hawks defeat Bruins 8-3
And finally, the Bruins and Hawks battled it out in a game that unfortunately did not live up to its hype. The game was slow to start with both teams taking shots from the outside. It wasn't until halfway through the first period that we saw the first goal of the night from Junior Rana for the Hawks. The Hawks dominated the first half with Rana completing his hat trick for the 4-1 lead. The second period saw the Hawks scoring another three goals to effectively seal the deal thanks to a pair from Umar Panchbhaya and Rana's fourth. Leading 7-1 with just about five minutes to go, the Hawks let their engines cool for a bit. The Bruins took advantage and netted two goals too little too late. With the trade deadline approaching, expect GM Suhaib Shaikh to make some moves. The Hawks capture the #1 spot in the rankings midway through the season.
