Week 10 Summaries

Bruins defeat Jets 6-5

The Bruins and Jets faced off in the only serious game of the night in our last regular season game. The Bruins were without Afzal, Zabir, and Vasim while the Jets were without Nawaz Shaikh. That being said, the Bruins showed dominance once again with their young guns. Jr Rana would strike first with a goal while Shadab Patel was between the pipes. The Jets fought back with goals from Shoaib Rangrez and Ihtisham Qureshi. Aziz Patel would tie it up before period end. Both teams traded goals back and forth in the second as both teams stood tall. In the dying minutes of the game, the Bruins would score two goals thanks to Moin Patel and company to win this one 6-5.

Hawks defeat Nordiques 13-5

The Nords and Hawks faced off next in a game that saw the Nordiques missing Ricky, Huzeifa, and Emad. The Hawks were all over this game as they opened first period scoring with 7 goals before Sufyaan Shaikh scored the only Nords goal of the period. Leading 10-1 after one, the Hawks slowed their offense to win this game 13-5. Abu Patel scored 6 goals on the night while honourable mention goes to Sufyaan Shaikh and his hat trick. The Hawks finally snapped their losing streak on the last day of the season at the Nords expense.

Sharks defeat Falcons 11-10 SO

And to cap the season off, the Sharks and Falcons faced off. The Sharks dominated even though Musa Bhoola was in net. The Sharks struck first with a pair from Shahzad Rana, while Muhammad Iqbal and Zahid Patel would net goals of their own to tie the game. The Sharks would dominate in the early part of the second period until they let the Falcons come back to tie the game and force this to our last shootout of the season. Tied 9-9, the superstars lined up to take on the goalies for a shot to win. The highlight of the night came down to Musa robbing Zahid Patel up front and nasty with an amazing glove save. Sharks win 10-9 after SO.

Week 10 Previews

Jets vs Bruins @ 8:45pm

And the first place Bruins will face off against the third place Jets in a game that we are all too familiar with now. GM Faisal Limbada has drafted without a doubt the strongest team this season and will be looking for another easy win to cap off the season. Having clinched first place, they will not be playing the first week of playoffs and would be wise to rest their big guns. As for the Jets, nothing is impossible if you believe hard enough, maybe.

Hawks Vs Nordiques @ 9:45pm

The Nords and Hawks will battle it out next to cap off their season. The Hawks have performed abysmally after their trade and will need to rework their strategy if they choose to stand a chance in the playoffs. As for the Nords, getting blown out last week is the least of their worries now, as they need to find a way to tap into their talent pool immediately for results.

Falcons Vs Sharks @ 10:45pm

And finally, the second place Sharks will take on the lowly Falcons who have just not been able to get it together this season. The Sharks boast a strong offense that can attack on multiple fronts, while the Falcons are still trying to find their place. That being said, we've seen miracles pulled off in the playoffs before so I wouldn't worry too much about this game's final score.
