Week 3 Previews

 

 

Nordiques Vs Falcons @ 8:45pm 

 

The Nordiques and Falcons will face off this week with both teams looking for a win. The Nords will look to utilize a full bench this week as they were grossly undermanned last week. The Falcons on the other hand will be looking to utilize their youthful legs a lot more than what was accomplished last week with the addition of Yusuf Ingar and Muhammad Iqbal.

 

 

Sharks Vs Jets @ 9:45pm 


The Jets and Sharks will face off next, with the Jets welcoming Ricky Saili and Huzeifa Patel. The Jets will look to utilize them both as they come off of a tough loss and look to rebound with goalie Fayaz Kazi. As for the Sharks, they will look to keep on winning utilizing their strengths for another W.

 

 

Bruins Vs Hawks @ 10:45pm 


And finally the Bruins and Hawks will go at it with one team that will be continuing their win streak. The Bruins will utilize their core group of guys and hope to recreate another success while the Hawks will aim to have all pistons firing for another blowout win.


Week 2 Summaries

 

 

Bruins defeat Jets 8-3 

 

The Jets and Bruins went at it in Week 2 action. The Bruins got on board with a goal from Rahman Rana, assisted by Shadab Patel. The Jets countered with a pair thanks to Yusuf Ingar and Zak Manjra. That was all the action for the first period, as the second brought about a livelier attitude. The Bruins harped on the Jets with four straight goals to start the second period, courtesy of Rana (2), and Zabir Khannat (2). The Jets fought hard to get back into it with another goal from Ingar, but the Bruins kept on shooting to seal the deal. Bruins win 8-3 despite an amazing effort from goalie Fayaz Kazi of the Jets.

 

 

Hawks defeat Nordiques 13-4


Next up the Hawks and Nordiques went at it in a game that saw the Nords without the likes of Shoaib Khan, Nawaz Shaikh, Manjot Bhatti and Jason Gogna. With no bench, the Nords relied heavily on goalie Kaleem Mirza. The Hawks struck first with goals from Ricky Saili and Abdul Manjra before Shahrukh Shah would have a Nords comeback. The Nords held their end as both teams traded goals back and forth, the Hawks were up 4-3 at the end of the first. The second period was all Hawks as they scored 9 goals, a hat trick courtesy of Ricky Saili and Abu Patel. The Hawks routed this one 13-4 despite some heroic saves from Kaleem Mirza.

 

 

Sharks defeat Falcons 6-3 


And to cap the night the Sharks and Falcons went at it in a game that saw some amazing team play. The Sharks scored four straight to start thanks to Musa Bhoola and Muzammil Khan. With 9 seconds left in the first the Falcons got on the board with a goal from Umar Panchbhaya. To start the second, the Falcons struck twice in the effort for a comeback with goals from Karan Bagga and Syed Ahmed. That being said, their efforts fell short as Rana and Bhoola kept the ball out of Falcons' reach as Muzammil Khan dropped another two goals to win this one 6-3.

 

Week 2 Previews

 

 

Bruins Vs Jets @ 8:45pm 

 

The Jets and Bruins will face off first this week. Faisal Limbada and company are quite happy coming off of a strong win and will be looking to make it two in a row against the Jets who narrowly escaped with a win last week. That being said, both teams will be bringing their best to the table as it is too early in the season to be making any assumptions.

 

 

Hawks Vs Nordiques @ 9:45pm 


Next up the Hawks and Nordiques will battle it out with both teams looking for a win. The Hawks could not live up to draft expectations in game 1 and will be looking to make a strong comeback against a Nordiques team that can be offensively terrifying if they can get all the working parts moving together. Expect big plays as Shoaib Khan and Ricky Saili go head to head for the win.

 

 

Falcons Vs Sharks @ 10:45pm 


And finally the Sharks and Falcons will face off in a game that will see some very good hockey being played. The Sharks are without a win and will be looking to give the Falcons their first taste of a loss this season. Expect goalies Faizan Khannat and Mohammed AK Patel to be on the top of their game. The key to success for this one will be the team that can produce the most offensive firepower.
