Week 10 Previews

Falcons Vs Jets @ 8:45 pm

The Falcons and Jets face off first in our last week of the regular season. It's been a tough season for the Falcons, although they may be able to save themselves from being last with a big win this week. Easier said than done as the Jets are 8-1 on the season and have proven to be the best team this league has seen. Expect nothing but a hard fought battle this week as both teams know losing is not the way they want to go into the playoffs.

Bruins Vs Sharks @ 9:45 pm

The Bruins and Sharks will have to bring out their best as they are both tied for 12 points on the season. A win for either team would give them a comfortable first round. It won't be easy as the Sharks are connecting so well they don't even seem to need a goalie anymore. As for the Bruins, the offensive power is there but it needs to stay consistent. Expect a high scoring game from these two.

Nordiques Vs Hawks @ 10:45 pm

And finally the Nords and Hawks face off in a game that is more so for redemption than anything else. GM Adil Patel has been invisible all season and will need to be there for his team to pump them up before playoffs. As for the Nordiques, this is a team that knows they can be better versions of themselves, and can use this game to prove that point.

Week 9 Summaries

Sharks defeat Nordiques 12-2

The Sharks and Nordiques kicked things off this Friday with Abu Hafejee in net for Abbas Shaikh. The Sharks were unbelievably well-connected, scoring goal after goal with 6 unanswered in the first half. This included a pair of goals from Sufyaan Shaikh and Maaz Panchbhaya. The Nords were left dumbfounded and had to find a way to get back in the game. GM Shoaib Khan would score the team's first goal to start the second, but the Sharks pressed on with a second half hat trick courtesy of GM Omar Hussain. This one was long over before the buzzer hit 0, as the Sharks win this one emphatically 12-2.

Falcons defeat Bruins 5-4

Next up, the Falcons and Bruins faced off in a game to remember. The Bruins struck first with a goal from Syed Ahmed, only to be tied minutes later with a rocket from Shahrukh Shah. The Bruins would get the 2-1 lead before the half with a goal from Yahya Ingar. Starting the second period, Ingar would score yet again to give his team a comfortable 3-1 lead. Both teams would trade goals back and forth with the score tied at 4 a piece with minutes left in play. The Falcons pushed hard and their hero would be Gurmit Bhatal who would score the Falcons' fifth goal of the night. Falcons win a nail biter 5-4.

Jets defeat Hawks 14-8

And finally the Hawks and Jets squared off. The Jets went off and controlled the tempo of the game and scored five straight goals to start the game. With distributed scoring, Aziz Patel was the only Jet to score twice in that run. The Hawks finally got a goal up on the board at the 9 minute mark. With the game slowed down at this point, both teams traded goals and saw Jets Manjot Bhatti and Aziz Patel record first period hat tricks. Jets lead 8-3 going into the half. The second was a lot more controlled and evenly distributed in terms of scoring. That being said, even a 4 goal second half effort from Yusuf Ingar would not be enough to beat the Jets, who won this one 14-8.

Week 9 Previews

Sharks Vs Nordiques @ 8:45 pm

As we near the playoffs once again, it's crunch time for a lot of teams to perform. The Nords and Sharks hit it off first this week. The Nords are coming off a tough loss against the Jets and will be looking to regroup. As for the Sharks, a comeback win against the Falcons is sure to have them pumped and confident to take on the Nordiques. Expect the most defensive team to win this one.

Bruins Vs Falcons @ 9:45 pm

The Bruins and Falcons face off next in a game that is sure to be full of action. The Bruins won a game last week with GM Suhaib Shaikh in net, although something tells me he'll be playing D this week. As for the Falcons, they've made it very close to wins but have not yet been able to close it out. Work hard boys, all it takes is that last 10%.

Jets Vs Hawks @ 10:45 pm

And finally the Hawks and Jets face off in a game that could be really fun or very one-sided depending on who shows up. The Hawks are a strong team that can send shockwaves with a win against the Jets, if all members show up. As for the Jets, consistency is the name of the game and they have been adamant on winning it all.

Week 8 Summaries

Sharks defeat Falcons 6-5

The Falcons and Sharks hit it off first on Friday. The Sharks initiated scoring with a goal from Maaz Panchbhaya. Gurmit Bhatal of the Falcons would tie it up. A goal from Erfan Bhanapatel and a pair from Farhan Saleh would push the Falcons to a 4-2 lead at the half. The Sharks' Vasim Kagzi would bring them within one to start the second but a goal from Ismail Patel would give them the 2 goal cushion again. With 9 minutes left in play, the Sharks structured a comeback featuring a goal from GM Omar Hussain and a pair from Vasim Kagzi to give them the 6-5 win.

Bruins defeat Hawks 7-6

Next up the Hawks and Bruins went at it in a very close game. The Bruins struck first with a goal from Huzeifa Patel, but the Hawks got two back with a pair from Huzzy Panchbhaya. It seemed as if the Bruins were mocking the Hawks, as GM Suhaib Shaikh was in net. Unbelievable as it may be, Mohamed Bashir would score a goal. Not to be made fun of, the Hawks pushed back with a third goal from Huzzy and a goal from Joe Bruno. Hawks lead 4-3 at the half. The Hawks took control of the game in the second with three straight goals, taking a commanding 7-4 lead with just 6 minutes left in play. Unfortunately for them, the absence of Adil and Yusuf still hurt them, as the Bruins pushed back and won with a four goal comeback which featured a hat trick from Arif Hanslod.

Jets defeat Nordiques 10-5

And finally, the Jets and Nords faced off in a game that still have the Nordiques riling. The Jets struck first with a goal from Jason Gogna, followed shortly by a goal from Shoaib Khan. Both teams traded goals back and forth in the first and ended up at three a piece at the half. The only goal scorer for the Nords was GM Shoaib Khan. The second half was all Jets as they scored 5 straight to start. This effort saw a pair of goals from Dalvinder Kang and Jason Gogna. The Nords pushed for two more goals late in the game but it was already over as the Jets walk away with a 10-5 win.

Week 8 Previews

Sharks Vs Falcons @ 8:45 pm

The Falcons and Sharks face off first tonight, with both teams aching for a win. The Sharks have proven the offensive capability to win games, but the defense has been blown wide open. As for the Falcons, the trades have made a difference but have not provided the winning edge required to stay alive. Both teams are expected to push hard and give their goalies a long deserved win.

Bruins Vs Hawks @ 9:45 pm

Next up the Hawks and Bruins will face off in a game I can only imagine will be riddled with penalties, fake or otherwise. The Bruins tandem of Syed Ahmed and Yahya Ingar has proven to be quite effective. As for the Hawks, it is evident they are a team to fear when Adil Patel and Yusuf Ingar are both in attendance. Hard to call this one, could go either way.

Jets Vs Nordiques @ 10:45 pm

The Jets and Nords face off for a matinee special. Both teams are strong in their own rights and play till the buzzer hits 0. The Jets received their first loss last week in SO, while the Nords are looking to make a statement and show team chemistry is on par. In the end, this game will come down to who's goalie is more focused
