WEEK 1 PREVIEWS
Bruins Vs Sharks @ 8:45pm
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to what will be another exciting season of MMGL hockey! At 8:45 we have our first game of the season, with the revamped Sharks taking on the Bruins. You can bet that Zahid Panchbhaya will come back more dedicated than ever to win the Verdi Cup that has eluded him for far too long. Offensively he'll have the much anticipated help of co-GM Yusuf Ingar. It will be interesting to see how they mix up the lines with players that can be used either end of the rink. And then there's the Bruins. GMs Rizwan Hassan and Mazhar Hussain will provide all the necessary veteran experience to lead this season's Bruins team to a championship. The Sharks will have to deal with a defense that is sub-par at the moment, while the Bruins will be playing with a rookie in net.

Falcons VS Kings @ 9:45pm
Our second game of the season goes to the new management Kings and Falcons. These are two teams aiming to reverse fortunes from last season, and hope to be among the powerhouses this season. With their first pick the Kings put their faith in goalie Stephen Corradino to win them the game should the offensive buzz ever be dying. You can bet that there are high expectations for Gurjeet Jhutty, Dalvinder Kang, and Zakaria Manjra to step up their game and produce. The Falcons are a team that is perhaps the most mysterious as they are putting offensive faith in three rookies, those being co-GM Vasim Kagzi, Mohsin Mahida, and Abraham Iqbal. Should this trio under perform it will be up to the defense to pick up the slack. All in all should be an interesting game as each team will be looking to size up the other.

Hawks VS Nordiques @ 10:45
And our game of the night goes to the Nordiques and Hawks at 10:45! The reigning champion Nordiques will be looking to defend the cup as they square off against one of the most physically stacked teams this league has seen. Without a doubt the current Nordiques squad has already put its faith into the leadership of Shoaib Khan. Now the onus will be on the likes of Mohammed and Fayaz Kazi and Farhan Saleh to produce offensively. To the credit of the GMs, they have locked in one of the most consistent goalies yet. The Hawks under Nawaz Shaikh and Adil Patel are already having people talk and there are big expectations for them this season. Perhaps their only weakness lies in keeping the situation under control and avoiding penalty trouble. This should be quite the explosive game and will determine power rankings for weeks to come.
