WEEK 5 RESULTS
Sharks Defeat Kings 4-2
The night was on its way with the Kings looking for their first win of the season. Both of the goalies on the night were evenly matched as Rizwan Ali went head to head with Uzair Baig. The game started with the Sharks Captain Belal Hafeez and grinder Fahim Limbada scoring to put the Sharks up by 2. Later in the first, Kings GM Haran Karunakaran put a wrister on net to cut the lead to one. The second period started with both teams going end to end. Belal Hafeez launched a canon to beat Rizwan Ali on the blocker side. However, minutes later, Hamza Minhas scored to get the Kings right back into the game. After that goal, the momentum was on the Kings side and pelted Sharks goalie with shots after shots. Uzair Baig was up to the task and was a monster with 40 saves on the night. Sharks Fahim Limbada then added some insurance for his second on the night to seal the deal for the Sharks. The Kings on the other hand are still looking for that first win.
Jets Defeat Falcons 5-4
This was probably the best game of the night as the Falcons and Jets battled with each other right to the end. Jets got the game rolling with a 2-0 lead with goals from Arwinder Banwait and Jaspreet Brar. Falcons GM Zakaria Manjra was able to score to cut the deficit to one. Minutes later, Jets D-man Arwinder scored his second of the night to give his team a two goal lead. Not too sure what was said to the Falcons bench during the halftime, but they came out firing in the second period as Sniper Manjot Bhatti scored two goals to tie the game. Both goalies were busy on this night as Stephen and Deepinder were both keeping their teams in the game. Falcons dominated the second half and spent most of their time buzzing in the Jets zone. However, the Jets were able to squeak two goals pass Stephen to take the lead and make the score 5-3. Falcons did press in the end and were able to get a goal from Zakaria Manjra, but it was little too late as the Jets would hang on to the win and are now riding a two game winning streak.
Sharks Defeat Bruins 6-4
The last game of the night was an exciting matchup between the surging Bruins and the stingy Sharks, who would be diving into their second game of the night. You would think the Sharks would show some fatigue from an earlier game in the night, but the Sharks came out firing on all cylinders and scoring 4 goals coming from Mohammed Kazi, Fahim Limbada, Belal Hafeez, and GM Zahid Panchbhaya. As the first period was coming to an end, Captain Rizwan blasted a shot from his own zone and was able to beat Sharks goalie Uzair Baig to make the score 4-1. Second period didn't start the way the Bruins wanted it as Sharks Mohammed Kazi would score his second of the night to add to the lead. However, the Bruins were able to reel off 3 goals from Rizwan Hassan and a pair from rookie Fahim Shaikh. Bruins tried to pressure the Sharks near the end, but the defensive play of the Sharks lead by Belal Hafeez would not let them muster any chances on their goalie. The Sharks remain perfect on this night and jump to 1st place. Special mention goes to Sharks goalie Uzair Baig for his performance on this night

For the first match-up of the night, the revamped Kings face the Sharks. The Kings announced another trade this week, bidding farewell to Captain Jonathan Bhansingh and D-man Senti Rasa to welcome in Huzaifa Patel and Fahad Panchbhaya from the Jets. The Kings aim to use this trade as momentum to finally get one in the W column. The Sharks, coming off a two week break, should aim to get all pistons firing against a team that is hungry for a win.

Falcons Vs Jets @ 9:45pm
In what seems to be coveted as the game of the night, an offensive-minded Jets team will be squaring off against a run and gun Falcons squad. With the return of superstar goalie Stephen C. and defenseman Navdeep V., the Falcons will be fighting to get 2 points after coming off an 8-0 shutout loss. The Jets, on the other hand, seem to be brimming with confidence with newly acquired forward Jonathan B., and will definitely keep the Falcons defense on their toes.

Sharks Vs Bruins @ 10:45pm
The last game of the night sees the Sharks playing the second game of a double-header against a surging Bruins team. With the Bruins offense going off the last two games, this game will definitely be a test of the Sharks' defensive endurance, notably Fahim Limbada and Varish Shaikh. This game seems to be in favor of the Bruins, but given past hostilities between GMs Zahid Panchbhaya and Faiz Vaid, one can expect sparks to fly.
